New Official Borough Website, Gym Peeper Arrested and More From Garwood

The Borough's official website has finally gotten a long-awaited facelift.

The hunter-green and gold (official borough colors?!) new site was updated to be user friendly for desktops and mobile devices, according to officials. In a message on the homepage borough staff say they "hope" to constantly update the website with the latest information. A community calendar and poll section are two of the new features.

It is a definite upgrade from the old site, is the general consensus in the current poll.

An 18-year-old Kenilworth man is in hot water after allegedly watching woman shower in the Crunch Fitness Gym. According to a report in the Cranford Chronicle the teen was also charged with underage consumption of alcohol and invasion of privacy.

There is some heated debate about the future of the Downtown property across the street from the Garwood Mall. The current home of the Panda House and adjacent properties is still up in the air, according to a report in the venerable Westfield Leader.

Later this month the Education Foundation of Garwood will hold its annual fundraiser. The evening will also be a celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the not for profit group.

And Garwood GOP thinks its time to get more conservative, sending a Letter to the Editor to the Suburban News.
