Not so Fast. Garwood Council Kills 'Opt-In' Garbage Plan

Bulk Garbage
The borough’s council has spoken: the tentative plan to offer residents an ‘opt-in' bulk garbage pickup has been voted down. At Tuesday night's borough council meeting, councilmembers voted three to two against resolutions that would have established an opt-in bulk pickup program.

The opt-in pickup would have cost residents approximately $125 with pickups tentatively scheduled for September, according to a report in the Clark-Garwood Patch. Free bulk garbage pickup was cancelled in 2010 because of budget cuts.
