Burger Joint Opens on North, New Building for South & More From Garwood

A new burger business, popular in Texas and other states, has opened its doors on North Avenue in Garwood. The new Mooyah Burgers, Fries and Shakes is the chain's first in New Jersey, according to a report in the Cranford Chronicle.

The face of Downtown Garwood will be changing soon, as the Borough has approved the construction of a mixed-use, three- story apartment building on South Avenue. The planned building will only have 18 on-site parking spaces according to a front page story in the venerable Westfield Leader.

The Board of Education has adopted an $8.5 million dollar budget, also front page news in the Leader.

And, the Easter Bunny made its way to the Garwood's PTA playgroup at the Presbyterian Church on Spruce Avenue. A cute photo is featured in the Suburban News.
