Local Crews Prepare for Road Projects in Garwood

Drivers can look forward to multiple street improvements on tap in the borough, including much-needed drainage work on both Maple Avenue on the Northside and the Southside’s Willow Avenue. Department of Transportation construction is also scheduled for Pine Avenue and East Street on the Southside, according to borough officials. The projects are all being funded by the borough itself and have various starting times in June and July.

DOT road work will start on Pine Avenue and East Street the first week of June and drainage work on Maple and Willow avenues will follow, likely beginning in July. A county road project on South Avenue and a watermain construction project on Hemlock Avenue are also slated to start sometime in the coming weeks.
