NJT to seek input from Garwood

New Jersey Transit is looking to get feedback from locals next month on how the borough's train station can be better utilized.

According to a report on News 12 New Jersey the agency will be holding 'opinion' sessions on April 14th and 15th. The Mayor was featured in the report Thursday, he said improvements to the station can bring more "shoppers and businesses into the town."

New Jersey Transit is currently working to establish a stronger 'transit village' in Garwood which may include more train service, more commuter parking, and possibly a brand new station. A new plan could also help reshape Downtown, Garwood.

News 12 New Jersey also pointed out that the current waiting area available for commuters is minimal at best.

And in case you didn't catch it. News 12 labeled Cranford as Union on the graphic above.
