Garwood Voters Pick Democrats

Democrats Roar Back
After a shift to Republicans two years ago, Garwood's Democratic base has coming roaring back. This year Democratic newcomers Bill Nierstedt and Ann Palmer have beat borough Republicans, unseating incumbent Tim Hak and newcomer Mike Martin. This is the second election in a row that borough Democrats have swept council elections. In 2010 Republicans won 2 seats and the Mayor's Office, since then it's been nothing but loses.

Results:

DEMOCRATS FOR COUNCIL
(D) Ann Palmer: 849
(D) William Nierstedt: 896

REPUBLICANS FOR COUNCIL
(R) Timohty Hak: 753
(R) Mike Martin: 731
