Garwood Teen Reported Missing is Found Safe in Roselle

It's every parent's worst nightmare- your child leaves home and doesn't return. That was the situation for a Garwood family on July 23rd, an ordeal that lasted about 16 hours, according to report on nj.com. Police say the un-named 16 year old was reported missing by his mother, but was found safe in Roselle later that same day. The boy's Mom reportedely told members of the press that her son has been "very sheltered living in a town like Garwood." She went on to say that she tried to explain to him that other places aren't "like this" and that things can go bad very quickly, an online report says.

It's not clear why the boy left home without calling his mother.
