St. Paul's United Church of Christ Celebrating 100 Years in Garwood

Center St Landmark
They are truly a borough landmark on Center Street. St. Paul’s United Church of Christ has been serving the religious community for 100 years, according to church leaders. The parish kicked-off its celebration with a service on June 24.

The church was founded in 1912 by a small group who conducted Sunday School classes in their homes, using the German language exclusively, according to a report on nj.com. The church was named The German Evangelical Lutheran St. Paul’s Church of Garwood, the report says.
