Garwood Has the Back of Veteran Injured in Afghanistan

Flyer for Event
Locals gathered at the Westwood on North Avenue to show their support and raise money for a United States Marine severely injured by an explosion while fighting in Afghanistan. Garwood Police Officer P.J Lewis started the campaign to help pay for some of the costs 26 year old Marine Corporal Greg Caron is facing. The “Help for Greg” Fundraiser was held on May 17th and raised an estimated $15,000 to $20,000, according to a report in the Westfield Leader. As always Garwood proves that the community knows how to come together when it needs to. Check out the organizer's Facebook page.
