Garwood Approves School Budget

Borough residents voted yes on both education ballot questions, approving Garwood's School budget by a vote of 446-191, and 415-220 respectively. There were two ballot questions this year, one covered the basics for running the school district. The other asked residents to fund various programs like a full day of Kindergarten and art programs.

In the end, Garwood Voters supported a budget that increases taxes $72 on the average borough home. Incumbent Christine Guerriero, Linda Koenig, and Aaron Watkins won seats on the Board of Education.

Last year Garwood shot down the school budget, like many towns across the state, in a very close vote. That vote was 357 to 353.

YES WINS THE DAY
