Garwood Library Holds Food Drive

Garwood Library is collecting food for those less fortunate this holiday season. The library is asking for donations of non-perishable food items through New Year's Eve. Collection bins are located at the entrance to the Library on the Northside. The food drive is sponsored by the Union County Public Libraries and the proceeds of the drive will go to the New Jersey Community Food Bank.

Groceries most urgently needed are canned meat and fish; canned soups and stews; peanut butter (in plastic jars); boxed pasta and rice; powdered milk; infant formula; canned vegetables and fruits, organizers say.
