Westfield Police are investigating a reported kidnapping and sexual assault that took place Monday morning near Gumbert Park in Westfield just steps away from the Garwood border, according to multiple published reports. Police Captain David Wayman said that a 20-year-old female was walking alone along South Chestnut Street when she was abducted by two men in a minivan. The woman claims she was sexually assaulted and robbed, Police say.
