No Quiet Commute for Garwood's Raritan Valley Line- Yet

New Jersey Transit recently launched a new pilot program to test the feasibility of a "hush-hour" on Northeast Corridor Trains. The 90-day pilot program on select express trains between Trenton and New York Penn Station will test the feasibility of offering Quiet Commute cars on NJ TRANSIT trains- with no cell phone use, or loud talking allowed.

During the pilot Quiet-Commute-Cars will be offered weekdays on the first and last cars of Northeast Corridor express trains

NJT officials say the idea of offering a Quiet Commute program has consistently ranked high among NJ TRANSIT customer suggestions.

If the pilot program gets good feedback on the Northeast Corridor Line, it could find its way on Garwood's Raritan Valley Line.

SHUSH...I'M TRYING TO COMMUTE
