In Print: Heritage War?
In the latest 'motto makeover' story in the Cranford Chronicle local resident Bruce Patterson said by changing the motto the "heritage" of Garwood was under attack.
The Mayor maintained that any change "would take time."
Also, council members were unanimous in saying that they wouldn’t want to be completely responsible for changing the seal. Mayor McCarthy suggested putting an article in the next Garwood newsletter, the report said.
Currently 365 readers are split on whether to change the seal. As of this writing, an exclusive 365 poll shows 50% of readers in favor of keeping the current motto, while 45% would like to see it changed. The poll is still open.
