Unwanted Medicine Disposal a Cinch for Garwood Residents
Local officials and health professionals are urging Garwood residents to take advantage of a nearby drop box to rid their homes of unwanted and unneeded prescription medications, a prime source for those who abuse legal drugs, officials say.
The box (which resembles a large mailbox) is located in neighboring Westfield at Union County Police Headquarters at 300 North Avenue. It’s currently one of only two county drop-off sites. And while this month officials are trying to raise awareness about the initiative named Project Medicine Drop, the drop box is available 365 days a year. More.
