Plans for Garwood's Long-Awaited Athletic Complex in Peril?

Pipe Dream?
It may just be too expensive for Garwood taxpayers. That's the message heard loud and clear from some of the borough's elected leaders, according to a report on the Clark Garwood Patch. After receiving new bids for the Athletic Field Complex, with the lowest among them at $2.9 million, Garwood councilmembers discussed whether or not the borough could afford to move forward with the project, the report says.

It wasn't long ago that officials had assured residents that plans for the site were on track. The council voted to extend the deadline for choosing a developer, the latest report says.
