Residents Can Mark Memorial Day in Cranford and Garwood

Memorial Day is intended to be a solemn, respectful day to honor those killed in the line of duty. To that end, Garwood officials will take part in the annual Memorial Day Parade in neighboring Cranford. The parade steps off at 9 a.m from the Cranford Community Center.

Then its Garwood's turn.

The Knights of Columbus on South Avenue will host a reception following the parade. Residents from both towns are welcome to attend, according to organizers. The Garwood Celebrations Committee says hot dogs, chips and beverages will be sold. The hall is located at 37 South Avenue.
