Garwood Driver Hit Gas Main Supply, Sparked Evacuation
According to several reports a driver struck an outdoor gas main at the McDonald's on North Avenue on Sunday sparking an evacuation of nearby homes. The driver was identified as borough resident Victoria Negro, according to reports. The gas was shut down, no injuries were reported, and residents were allowed back into their homes shortly after the crash. Negro was issued a summons for careless driving.
