Gas Prices Remain Low in Garwood, Cranford and New JerseyNew Jersey is the land of cheap gas, especially when compared to neighboring New York.
Towns shaded Green (the cheapest gas) abound in the Garden State and are non-existent in the Empire one.
As of June 2010, in Central Union County, Garwood's gas station, and ones in Cranford, Clark, Kenilworth and Mountainside averaged between $2.51 and $2.59 a gallon. Westfield had pricer gas at $2.59 to $2.68 a gallon.
Plainfield has the cheapest gas in Union County ranging frmo $2.34 to $2.42 a gallon, according to NewJerseyGasPrices.com.
