The ‘Village at Garwood’ Senior Housing will Open in 2015

The developers of that new senior housing complex being constructed at the site of the old St. Anne’s School is set to open its doors to residents in 2015.
The three-story complex being built on the Northside will feature on-site parking, laundry facilities, and a recreation room, according to a report on the Clark-Garwood Patch. Back in 2012 some suggested the new senior citizen complex be offered to Garwood seniors first since housing, an idea that was deemed implausible by local officials.

The senior housing project was approved back in 2010.

“When it opens, this facility will extend the independence of senior citizens through the provision of comfortable, affordable housing in conjunction with social and recreational activities,” said Neil Sullivan, Chairman of Westfield Senior Housing, according to a report from Monarch Housing.
