Garwood Ground Breaking: Athletic Field Complex

Big Day in Garwood

The long wait for many is over. Garwood officials and residents gathered to break ground at for the borough's new Athletic Field Complex. The $3.2 million project includes a new multi-purpose turf field and field house. The Clark-Garwood Patch has pictures of the event.

For years, Garwood has been inching closer to realizing plans for the site. The massive overhaul will include dozens of new amenities.
Supporters say the site will add value to the town, others protested the project by saying it was simply too expensive for borough taxpayers.
