Garwood Used Up Snow Days During Hurricane Sandy

Damage at Garwood's Washington School
Locals had better hope for a mild winter. Hurricane Sandy not only damaged school facilities, but also ate up 3 snow days typically set aside for Winter Storms. Sandy also destroyed the flagpole at Washington School, which the Board of Education may cost $1,000 to replace, according to a report in the Westfield Leader.
Garwood's Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark used 2 snow days, the report says.
