Garwood Library's "Blind Date" Program Celebrates Second Year

In 2010 Garwood Library introduced an event to get Garwood residents to try out something new and unexpected, much like a blind date, and it turned out to be a big hit. According to Library officials the program was so successful they launched it again in 2011. The Blind Date program asked library users to come-in and pick-up a wrapped, undisclosed title. Residents were then asked to read at least 50 pages to see if they liked it. Librarians say it's a great way to find new titles you might not otherwise choose on your own. The book club was only open to adults. Look for it again in 2012.
