In response to a post about an apparent 'strong sale' on Hemlock Avenue, a Garwood 365 reader sounded off.
The Anonymous poster said:
There's a downside to McMansions or expensive townhome sales in Garwood, especially if that's the only housing stock that sells.
The poster went on to say:
When garwood housing prices remain stronger than the surrounding towns the county then assesses Garwood at a higher rate and increases the county tax portion on all of us in town at a higher rate.
The poster warned:
It has happened to us for the last 2 years.
BAD NEWS? or DEBBY DOWNER?
