New Jersey is the land of cheap gas, especially when compared to neighboring New York.
Towns shaded Green (the cheapest gas) abound in the Garden State and are non-existent in the Empire one.
As of June 2010, in Central Union County, Garwood's gas station, and ones in Cranford, Clark, Kenilworth and Mountainside averaged between $2.51 and $2.59 a gallon. Westfield had pricer gas at $2.59 to $2.68 a gallon.
Plainfield has the cheapest gas in Union County ranging frmo $2.34 to $2.42 a gallon, according to NewJerseyGasPrices.com.
DUH. NEVER GAS-UP IN THE BIG APPLE...OR WESTFIELD
