Best-selling author, academy award nominated screenplay writer and all around ballyhooed Garwoodian Thomas Perrotta is reportedly close to finishing a collection of short-stories entitled ''Nine Inches'' according to a report in the New York Times, his first in quite some time. Perrotta penned “Election” (1998) and “Little Children” (2004), both dark novels turned into Hollywood films.
