Garwood's Future Lies in Downtown Re-Development Site

Garwood has two giant assets that can define the future of the Industrial Center of Union County. The Casale Factory site and the Garwood train station are the lynch pins of the borough's future. The borough has designated the Northwest corner of South Avenue and Center Street as a potential Transit Oriented Development site. With some thoughtful planning and out-of-the-box thinking Garwood officials have the ability to set a new course for the town.

Like Pier Village in Long Branch, the T.O.D site can redefine Garwood and become a local destination for Union County. The process and the outcome deserve concerted attention. During an economic downtown its often best to have a plan so when things look up, Garwood is ready.
