It does sound kind-of like the starting point of a clever joke. The three men Mike Martin (the Republican), Jim Mathieu (the Conservative Republican) and Bruce Paterson (the Independent) are seeking two open seats on the borough council. The three will be taking part in a pre-election debate this month at Pointe in Garwood's Northside, according to a report on the Patch. Democrats did not run anyone in this council race, the report says.
