In the hopes of gaining more subscribers the venerable Westfield Leader is offering free trial memberships to residents of Garwood.
Memberships can be requested at a sign-up page on the paper's site. The trial is for new subscribers and only for three months, management says. The weekly paper is delivered on Thursdays.
The Westfield Leader is owned by Watchung Communications, which also owns the Scotch Plains- Fanwood Times. The Westfield Leader's weekly paid circulation is a healthy 4,553. It's not immediately clear how many of those subscribers live in the Industrial Center of Union County.
