Garwood Receives Grant to Purchase Emergency Equipment
Garwood will be more prepared for the next superstorm after getting a boost in funding for some much needed equipment.
The Christie Administration announced that Garwood Police Department will be receiving $42,025 for the purchase of back-up communications equipment, portable generators and back-up generators for critical facilities, according to a release from the NJ Office of Emergency Management.
The monies Garwood is receiving is part of a $607,000 package in Emergency Management Subgrants, the release says.
