Memorial Day will be marked in town at the Knights of Columbus. Event organizers say residents can attend a remembrance for fallen military members. The guest speaker is Paul Nieves and refreshments will be served.
The memorial will be held at noon on May 27th (following the Cranford Memorial Day Parade). To take part just show up at the Knights of Columbus located at 37 South Ave. For more information call: 908-789-9809.
To commemorate Memorial Day many local facilities are closed on Monday. The Garwood Library, Post Office, A.L.J High School and Lincoln School will not open for the federal holiday. Banks are also closed on Memorial Day.
