Huh: Garwood's Northside is the Heart of Oakland?

What the What? Check out this old 'neighborhood and placemark' map found on the website of the Netherwood Heights Neighborhood Association in Plainfield. It kinda of cuts off Garwood but, it's clear that the North East is referred to as Oakland. Do you live in Oakland?

    Always wondered where the name of the establishment came from: "The Oakland House".
