Believe it or not, Rudy’s Italian Restaurant, formerly Bensi Italian Restaurant, has started to offer an expanded gluten-free menu. Not an easy feat for an Italian-American joint. Owners Rick Osso and Chef Dario Fernandez said they were inspired to offer more gluten-free options after hearing requests from their customers. The gluten-free menu includes starters such as shrimp cocktail, zuppa di mussels, a variety of fresh garden salads, rigatoni with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes and penne tossed with shrimp marinara. Rudy's even has a gluten-free dessert: a Nutella hazelnut torta.
