Gold Medal Fitness on North Avenue continues to support a memorial fund in memory of the late firefighter Jim Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer died in a freak accident at his home Mountainside back in August. Gold Medal Fitness in Garwood sponsored a spin class and a Zumba Dance Class for the Carly Pfeiffer Memorial Fund, raising just under $1,000 for the scholarship fund. The class was organized by Heather Fresco at the fitness center, according to a published report.
The memorial fund is intended to benefit Pfeiffer's one-year old daughter Carly.
