In Print: Sentencing Delayed!

CBS News is reporting sentencing for Ermina Errico has been delayed due to the financial situation facing the Errico family.

ELIZABETH, N.J. (CBS/AP) The sentencing of New Jersey mom Ermina Errico for killing her daughter, Emily Errico, by limiting her food intake, has been delayed.

The woman's attorney says she may have trouble paying for psychological care, which is expected to be part of her sentence.

The 25-year-old daughter was found dead from malnutrition and anorexia nervosa in 2007 in the family's Garwood, N.J. home. Her body was wrapped in a trash bag. At trial, prosecutors said the mother forced her daughter to wear plastic bags instead of clothes.

Ermina Errico had pled guilty to neglect in the malnutrition death of her daughter. Prosecutors said Ermina Errico obsessively controlled her daughter's life.

Under terms of her plea, the judge is expected to place Ermina Errico on probation and undergo psychological treatment.

Errico's husband, Edward, received a similar sentence earlier this year.
